They are consistently the best biscuit around. As a result, the majority of my posts turn out to be about restaurants. I definitely intend to cover Stuckey’s and hopefully some other retail brands in the future though.

I’ve been trying to get an accurate estimate of Stuckey’s true location count for weeks. The store locator on their website is buggy. The default view shows 25 or so locations, but if you search individual states and zip codes you can see that there are more locations than those in the default view. Using this method with different inputs and search radiuses, I’ve counted 82 locations in operation. Their “about us” section claims there are 115, but I suspect this information is outdated. At any rate, there were well over 300 Stuckey’s at the peak, so they still fit well within my definition of a broken chain. Plus, I think many of the remaining Stuckey’s are little more than modern generic convenience stores that have a shelf or two devoted to pecan logs and the like. The gas station connection made this all the more interesting. I'm not sure if you'd be willing to do Stuckey's in the future (they're at about 25 locations) or if it's still too big.Houston Historic Retailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00101509061993007509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-411374383982984063.post-60164938380370533792018-08-18T13:21:50.370-04:002018-08-18T13:21:50.370-04:00In addition to your Michigan perspective on breakf...In addition to your Michigan perspective on breakfast food your Kentucky perspective on biscuits and biscuit making (which you literally learned from your Granny while you were still in the high chair) may set your biscuit standard. Tudor World meets that standard. Apparently Hornes does not.<3 Judywalbehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14048958498432773461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-411374383982984063.post-84240870215362879952018-08-18T09:02:04.614-04:002018-08-18T09:02:04.614-04:00I used to live in nearby Fredericksburg and I'...I used to live in nearby Fredericksburg and I've been to that Horne's.
